Join an active department and a dynamic team, involved in many aspects of education and formation within the archdiocese.
Parents who do not get a place the school of their choice for their child have the right to appeal for one. The Archdiocesan Education Department arranges school admission appeals for schools in Liverpool, Wigan, Sefton, Knowsley and St Helens Local Authorities.
We are looking for people who are able to apply the legal framework governing appeals. They need to be able to draw out the information to make the decision from written information and by questioning both the school representative and parents. They will also need to use their judgement in discussing the issues with their panel colleagues and in reaching the panel’s decision.
