St Francis Xavier’s Church in Everton will mark it’s 175th anniversary with a series of heritage days in September.
The Church will be open every day from 10am – 1pm from Friday 8 September until Sunday 17 September. The only exceptions are the Tuesday (12 September) where the Church is open until 6pm, and Wednesday (13 September), where the church is closed.
During this time, you can also arrange daily tours of the Church. You’ll be able to take in the architecture and stained-glass windows. You can also see where the likes of Priest and Poet Gerard Manley Hopkins served.
In the past, the Church has also been used as a place to film. Among other things,Jimmy McGovern’s award-winning drama Broken was filmed there.
