Departments

Department provides cross cutting functions which support the wider operations of the archdiocese. These include human resources, safeguarding, governance, legal services, IT and communications.

Communications & IT

Our Communications & IT department enable us to tell the story of what Jesus is doing through His Church in the Archdiocese of Liverpool.

Chancery & Tribunal

We provide general advice to priests and parishes regarding sacraments and legal/canon law issues, including marriages and annulments.

Education

The Education Department ensure the delivery of quality Catholic education in our schools, academies and colleges.

Finance

The Finance Department oversee our finances, property and surveying, cemeteries and administration and parish centre management.

Human Resources

The HR team exists to support priests, line managers and staff throughout the employment lifecycle.

Legal

Our archdiocesan solicitor and compliance officer supports the archdiocese on a range of legal and statutory compliance matters.

Pastoral Development

The Pastoral Development Department works alongside the local Church to resource and support its mission.

Safeguarding

The Safeguarding Department is responsible for the implementation of national safeguarding policy and procedures within the archdiocese.

The Vocations team exist to support you throughout your vocation journey.

Our chalpaincies provide pastoral care for hospitals, prisons, schools and universities.

The Vicariate for Clergy exists to provide for the care of priests.

Our Schools Singing Programme currently works with over 1,250 children in our Catholic schools every week!
