Public Notice

Sacred Heart Church, Tyldesley Road, Hindsford, Greater Manchester, an unregistered charity(the “Charity”)

Under its governing documents, land was conveyed to the Charity to be used as a site for a church and a school. The church and the school closed over twenty years ago and the Trustee of the Charity, the Archdiocese of Liverpool (registered charity number 1199714),  has for some time been considering options for the future use of the site.  The Trustee has been in recent discussions with the Charity Commission and the intention is to sell the site and to change the trusts on which the land is held so that the proceeds of sale from the site may be used to support the advancement of the Roman Catholic religion and education in accordance with the principles of the Roman Catholic Faith in the local Parish of St John Rigby.

The Trustee now wishes to give public notice of this proposed change to the purpose of the Charity.
