Liverpool Seafarers Centre and chaplaincy

Chaplaincy to Seafarers

Through our chaplaincy work, we hope to care for the spiritual and physical welfare seafarers.

What we do

We work in an ecumenical partnership with Liverpool Seafarers Centre and provide Catholic chaplaincy to seafarers, who are often at sea for long periods of time and are seperated from their families.

What we offer

Celebrating Mass on board ships when requested, often followed by a social time or lunch.

Providing the facilities of our Liverpool Seafarers Centre, a social space with a bar.

Connecting seafarers with local Churches for Mass when they are in Liverpool.

Providing a couple of minibuses to take seafarers into Liverpool to see the popular tourist sites.

Caring for any seafarers who fall ill while they are in Liverpool, until they are able to return to their ship.

Liverpool Seafarers Centre

Liverpool Seafarers Centre offers welfare services, advice, practical help, care and friendship, communication, transport, recreation, and financial aid when necessary.
