The year 2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the closing of one of the most significant religious events of the 20th century: Vatican II. To mark this, and to keep the conciliar spirit alive, the Archdiocese of Liverpool will be hosting a special conference on Vatican II.
'Vatican II and the Church today', a weekend conference featuring internationally renowned speakers, will explore the continuing impact of the teaching of the Second Vatican Council in the life and mission of both the local and the global Church.
Featured speakers will include authority on Vatican II, Dr Massimo Faggioli, as well as Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor and Father Timothy Radcliffe OP. Speakers from closer to home include Dr Ros Stuart-Buttle, Rev Dr Chris Fallon and Dr Ann Marie Mealey.
The weekend takes place from 14–15 November at the Liverpool Archdiocesan Centre for Evangelisation. Places must be booked in advance, on a first come, first served basis. Early booking is strongly recommend. For further information and to book, visit the website: http://liverpoolvaticanii.org/ or phone 0151 522 1040.
