Human trafficking and modern-day slavery expert visits

Liverpool Archdiocese press release

‘WE SEE YOU’, a talk by Kevin Hyland OBE, will be followed by action-planning with key organisations

Kevin Hyland OBE, the UK’s first independent anti-slavery commissioner, a representative to the Council of Europe’s Independent Group of Experts for Trafficking, and a key adviser to the Santa Marta Group to combat human trafficking, will be speaking at the Liverpool Archdiocesan Centre for Evangelisation (LACE).

The occasion is the Memorial Lecture at LACE, Croxteth Drive, Liverpool L17 1AA on Sunday 19 January from 2-4pm. This event will give clarity about human trafficking and modern-day slavery: how to recognise it and a range of responses.

The talk will be followed by the chance to speak to experts from organisations already involved in combating this deadly trade, including the Medaille Trust, the Clewer Initiative, the Salvation Army, City Hearts, The Brick, and the National Crime Agency.

Come along to see how you can help to stop this deadly trade.
