Pupils at St Edward's College in West Derby have donated over £10,000 to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Prefects from the school presented a cheque for £10,647 to Vanessa Simmonds, a fundraising manager for the charity, who delivered a talk to pupils about the outstanding work the Teenage Cancer Trust performs.
The donation marks the conclusion of an impressive fundraising campaign which followed the loss of St Edward's pupil Michael Bedson to cancer in 2013. Michael's courage and determination served as an inspiration to many at the school and the St Edward's community plans to continue raising funds for the charity in the future.
