Schools within the trusteeship of the Archdiocese are included in a property insurance scheme operated by the Catholic Church Insurance Association and underwritten by Zurich Municipal. This provides 100% coverage for buildings and contents insurance.
Public liability and employers’ liability coverage is still provided by each schools’ respective local authority.
The process to follow in the event of a property insurance claim is slightly different for each local authority area so we encourage all schools to download from this page and retain the process for their local authority area. In all cases schools will be supported by their area surveyor in completing a property insurance claim.
